All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or when you collect your vehicle. This agreement outlines the specific terms, conditions, insurance coverage, fees, and your obligations for that rental. In the event of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Renting a vehicle requires:

Booking and Payments in Skegness
- Reservations can be arranged via our website, by telephone, or directly at our Skegness office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The remaining balance, along with a security deposit, is usually payable at the time of vehicle pickup. All pricing is listed in British Pounds (£) and includes VAT where relevant. We accept all major credit and debit cards, processed securely through trusted payment partners.
4. Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- Upon collecting your vehicle in Skegness, it is essential to conduct a thorough inspection and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed by both parties. Please return the vehicle in the same condition as it was collected, allowing for standard wear and tear. 6. Modifications and Cancellations
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice period provided. For precise information, consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Late cancellations or failure to show up may incur additional charges.
Prohibited Activities
Prohibited uses of rental vehicle:
- Use of the vehicle for any illegal activities is prohibited. Engaging in racing, rallying, off-roading, or similar dangerous pursuits is not allowed. Transporting hazardous substances is strictly forbidden. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is unacceptable. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited. The vehicle must not be used for purposes it was not designed for, nor should passenger or weight limits be exceeded. Operating the vehicle outside of the agreed geographical area requires prior authorization.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.
8. Liability Restrictions
To the fullest extent allowed under English and Welsh law, Car Hire Skegness will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits or data resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid for the rental in the past 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or injury due to negligence, or for fraudulent actions.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in English and Welsh courts.
10. Updates to Terms
